Grandson Michael

July 24, 2007

Arrived in North Van., BC. 22nd of October 98
You were my newest grandson,
With long black hair, eyes of blue,
I was very proud of you.

Didn’t look like daddy or even look like me
You looked all the world like your dear grandpa.
But you’re the cutest little boy,
And have brought me lots of joy.

Although your only 3 months now,
Your really growing fast somehow
The sweetest smile, and giggle too,
Eyes that sparkle like morning dew.

You love it when I hold you on my knee
When cuddled, quite as you can be.
When heading for your bed, open come your eyes
Then comes those sad little cries.

Please don’t put me down, can’t you see?
I’d rather be sitting on your knee.
I want to be cuddled, want to be hugged,
Want to be held, don’t want to be bugged.

With that smile on your face and look in your eye
When picked up, takes the place of your cry.
You win me over with your charms,
You won out, you’re back in my arms.

There’s mischief in your eyes of blue,
My darling Michael, I’ll always love you.
Thankful to God, meant you to be
A darling grandson to me.

I love you Michael
