My Granddaughter Tracy

July 24, 2007

On the 23rd of Nov., 1980, North Van, BC
You joined the Herman family.
The fairest face, deep blue eyes
And the faintest little cries.

Little fat cheeks, little pug nose,
All of your fingers, all of your toes.
You were as cute, as you could be,
Lying there in the nursery.

You were fun the bathe, fun to feed,
We catered to your every need.
And spoiled you quite a bit
Though your mom said quit.

Loved to take you for a walk,
Even though you couldn’t talk,
To the park and to the shops,
You my darling were always tops.

Watched you sit, watched you creep,
Watched you, when fast asleep.
Watched you grow from day to day
Watched you when at play.

Your first step I was there
Even watched you climb the stair.
You are always on the run
You my child are lots of fun.

When you came to stay with me,
You make my day more happily
You give me lots of hugs and kisses too
My darling Tracy I love you.
