My Personal Prayer

Oh that God would grant me the wisdom,
To look into the insight of man.
And reach out and touch a hand,
And say, I understand, I’m your friend.
Just trust me, don’t be afraid,
God gave me love, said use it.

I want and try with all my given strength,
To push forth, but that man would only understand me.
Not look upon me as an enemy, but a true friend.
Love swells in my heart to near explosion,
Just waiting for someone to receive it.
Not only little children, but man of every race, creed, colour.

Let mankind except my offer of love dear God,
We are here to love and help our fellow man.
Let them see the good in me,
Not only the bad.

I do want to be a helping hand,
Not only the bad, but friends and family and all humanity.
I want so much to help the sick, lonely, needy, the lost.
So God help me serve my purpose on this earth,
No matter how lowly or small.
Thank you Lord,
Your unworthy child.
