My Best Friend

I pray to Heavenly Father,
Through His blessed Son.
He is my blessed Saviour,
A victory He has won.

He died to save us all from sin,
While hanging on the cross.
He is our friend and brother,
For us he paid the cost.

Although I do not pray to Him,
I can tell Him of my plans.
I can thank Him for what He has done for me,
He will hold my hand.

I can tell Him all of my heartaches,
I can tell Him of my pride.
And when I pray to Father,
He’s always by my side.

He is the greatest brother,
I love with all my heart.
And when I trip or fumble,
He’s there to pick me up.

He carries me through the valley,
When I’m too weak to walk.
He knows my every problem,
When I’m too tired to talk.

When the time comes to leave here,
He’ll be waiting for me.
Welcome home my sister!
I will hear a welcome cheer.
